I grew up just outside Seattle, where Halloween wasn’t a day—it was a season, a mood, a little bit of magic stitched into the fog. The darker, stranger, and more unhinged the costume, the better. Even my birthday cakes came dressed for the occasion… ghosts in frosting, pumpkins grinning back.
Some people grow out of that. I didn’t.
Dressing up, transforming, becoming something a little uncanny—that’s always been my thing. The odd, the eerie, the theatrical. The kind of looks that linger just a second too long.
But what started as a love for costumes became something more.
I’m the creative mind behind Hill Dogs Costume Hire, built from a passion not just for dressing up, but for doing it better. I wanted to create a way for families to enjoy incredible costumes without the cost, clutter, or waste. Because the best disguises deserve more than one night—they deserve a second life. A third. Maybe more.
